Grace Of A Swan

I have a big heart for pretty hood ornaments. To catch my eye however, they do have to be unique.  So on a recent outing with the Hubby at a local auto museum I found this little beauty.

Now I have seen a lot of unusual, beautiful and classy hood trim in my journeys; but this one is now at the top of my list as the most unique and beautiful.  She is a perfect representation of her species; slim lines with grace and elegance.  Sophisticated flashiness with a touch of color so you will notice her.  I am not even sure I photographed her pure essence, but once you see her, she is in your mind forever.

Master Of The Road

Country backroads always provide wonderful surprises like this old but pretty red Buick. She was just sitting there waiting for her portrait to be taken. Now she may have aged a bit but she still has lots of class.

Hail A Cab…To The Wedding

Okay a little more about me then on to this story. In one of my other loves and talents I am a Wedding officiant and have the privilege of performing Wedding Ceremonies for couples .

So that said. I was out in the Livermore Valley yesterday to perform a ceremony for Amanda and Brad at Garre Winery. Upon driving to the facility, I was following this beautiful classic Yellow Taxi. Low and behold as we reach my location he turns his blinker on to turn into Garre. I thought well maybe he was a guest driving this sweet cab. Not! It turns out this beautiful old Taxi Cab was the ride for the bride’s Grandmother and Aunt. While that was cool; what was even more exciting the cab was being left at the venue to be used as back drop for wedding photos. How cool is that ?

I got a quick moment to speak with the driver. I discovered that the cab company had been looking for an old Checker Cab to restore and in their search ran across this one in pristine and running condition. They bought it and added it to their fleet for patrons to hire for special events. How cool is that? (Yes I said it again). So if your having an vintage event or want to add a unique twist in the Tri or Livermore Valley call and book this cab with the Livermore Cab Company 925-222-1234! <!

Little Red TBird

I can feel it now; wind in my hair, sun beating down enhancing the tan, all cylinders full out as I tool down the road (in my mind of course) in this little red TBird. It is good to free the mind and visualize!

I know you are dreaming it too. One of my first old classic finds that I photographed a few years ago. Still one of my very favorite pieces.

Sleek and Classy

I love every thing about a Corvette. I really do not think it matters what year it was made either. The lines are sleek and classy. Even when you look at a photo of just a part of this beauty; you can imagine yourself behind the wheel rolling down the road at breakneck speeds. I know it brings smile to everyone each time print or pull the photo up on the screen to show someone. So time to share it with you. Enjoy the ride!

Hot Rod and the Jet

This past summer we were given a real treat with a visit to the Warbirds Museum in Paso Robles.  Now I have to admit that war stuff is not at the top of my list, but the visit did offer a cool place to hang out during a VERY hot day.  To my delight, when we arrived I discovered the museum had added a wing showcasing oldie cars and some fun related items.  Now  that made me a very happy camper.

As we wandered on over to the car museum, sitting out in front of the entrance is this sweet little Ford Hot Rod.  From my photographer eye I saw something even more exciting; this terrific shot showing the jet and the hot rod in the same frame.  Is that fulfilling the need for speed or what?Image

So many beautiful Classic Cars at this past Reno’s Hot August Nights event; it would be hard to pick just one as my favorite.  I am always drawn to shiny black and chrome.  So as I approached this car I knew nothing could have captured my attention better than a Classy Cadillac. Even more of a prize view was this classic in pristine condition.

I spoke with the owners of this 1949 Cadillac and found out they have owned this car since 1997.   The couple worked on this classic charmer for the past 2 years to restored it to it’s original condition.  Kudo’s for a fine masterpiece.  It is Cherry!  ImageImage
